Batter up! Home Run Derby Registration is Still Open for Phillipsburg Event

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ- “Home Run Values in life “  inspired George and Beth Perrini to “step up to the plate” and organize a fun event to raise money for Phillipsburg area youth baseball returns to Walters Park this year.

This year it will be held on May 25th and there’s still time to sign up for the $5 discount. However, if you are planning on ordering an event T-shirt they  need you to sign up by May 17th, to have your t-shirt in time for the event, otherwise they will deliver it after the Derby.

Organizers say they have great prizes and trophies for the winners such as private batting lessons with former Pro Ball Player Justin Pacchioli, 3 month membership to Burley’s Gym, 8 sessions at MADE Strength and Conditioning, Free Day passes to the Walters Park Pool, Miniature Golfing at CastleGate Mini Golf and Ice Cream, and more!. The “Dingers at Dusk” Father/Grandfather-Son Event at the end of the day under the lights at Walter’s Park at approximately 7 p.m. will continue. It is an additional $20 for dad to join in, and it is a really fun event for all.

It will be a family-friendly day. The snack shack will be open, and a raffle/tricky tray and a Giving Tree for Jaxon will all be onsite.

The event is also offering half off admission to the Walters Park Pool for the day on the 25th as well. Approximate start times are Minors 1pm, Majors 3pm, Juniors 5pm, Father/Son “Dingers at Dusk” 7pm (final times to be announced). There are NO regularly scheduled games on this day

The Home Run Derby will be held at Walter’s Park, and will include minors, majors, and juniors. Regardless of age (you can be 15 if you qualified for your Juniors team) or your team location (open to all areas).

There is no fee for spectators, so come out to join in the fun and cheer on the youth as they participate in the Home Run Derby.The snack bar will be open.
