PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Six Philadelphians and one Norristown man have been arrested and charged for their role in a gun and drug trafficking ring.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says police first noticed suspicious activity at the Oaks Gun Show in December.

Police say several members of the group illegally bought and transferred 19 guns between January 2023 and February 2024.

They scratched off the serial numbers, then gave them to 42-year-old Scott Grondin of Philadelphia — who is prohibited from possession of a firearm — who then re-sold them to other prohibited individuals.

The center of the group’s operations was along the 2300 block of North 9th Street in Philadelphia, where Grondin and two others — 21-year-old Bella Kenna and 34-year-old Anthony Figueroa-Marko — lived.

The DA says the firearms investigation merged with an ongoing drug investigation centering on the sales of methamphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy, prescription drugs and marijuana.

In addition to Grondin, police arrested Kenna, Figueroa-Marko, 32-year-old Emanuel Torres, 27-year-old Asad Sayed and 28-year-old Felicia McKinnell, and 26-year-old Christopher McNelly of Norristown.

Members of the group are charged with participating in corrupt organizations, conspiracy, making false statements, and drug and gun offenses.
