New York had Philadelphia on the ropes in Game 5, but two big-time 3-pointers from Tyrese Maxey helped the 76ers force overtime, where they outlasted the Knicks to force a Game 6.
The 76ers now return to Philadelphia for Game 6. Having a healthy Joel Embiid would help as Philly looks to force a Game 7 in New York, but the seven-time All-Star is dealing with a number of injuries, a couple of which made him questionable for Game 5.

Is Joel Embiid playing tonight?
Embiid has been upgraded from questionable to available for Game 6.
Embiid has been battling a number of injuries in the playoffs. He was listed as questionable for Game 5 due to left knee injury recovery and a migraine. Additionally, he's playing through a "mild case" of Bell's palsy, a condition that causes sudden weakness of the muscles in one side of the face.
Those issues haven't kept Embiid out of a game in the 2024 NBA Playoffs yet. Through five games against the Knicks, he's averaging 31.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists, though he's shooting only 43.5 percent from the field. He logged 48 minutes in Philadelphia's Game 5 win, his most yet in the series.
Embiid was limited to 39 of 82 games in the regular season because of a left knee injury .
