    Wokworks Making its Way to New Jersey

    A popular Philadelphia chain is preparing to bring a taste of the City of Brotherly Love to Margate this year. Wokworks is bringing its fast-casual stir-fries to its first New Jersey location this summer, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal .

    The eatery is moving into the 2,000 square foot space at 7801 Ventnor Avenue that last housed Greens and Grains. Wokworks will be able to accommodate between 40 and 50 customers. The concept is hoping to open its doors in early June.

    Wokworks’ Margate menu will feature all of the stir-fries fans have come to know and love, as well as new dishes unique to the New Jersey location. These exclusives include dry pepper Korean fried wings, peach yuzu slushie, and soft serve ice cream.

    The concept, which started life in Rittenhouse in 2013, has grown to include seven locations, ranging from food carts to brick and mortar stores. Owner Brennan Foxman explains that he and co-owner Samantha Foxman have been developing the Margate location for quite awhile. He tells What Now Philadelphia : “After several years of searching, we’ve finally found the perfect spot for Wokworks in Margate, a place close to our hearts as locals who grew up frequenting its beaches and cherishing memories with friends and family. With its vibrant dining scene, we see Wokworks as a natural addition, seamlessly blending into the community fabric. Our vision is to offer healthy, delicious, vegetable-forward fusion takeout catering to various occasions—be it beach days, late-night cravings, post-bicycle rides, Friday date nights, or yoga wind-downs. Throughout the season, we are committed to sourcing 100% of our produce and vegetables locally from farms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, ensuring the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Our sauces are meticulously crafted from scratch and paired with the lightning speed of wok cooking, everything comes out fresh and piping hot in less than five minutes.”
