Section of Watertown’s East Main Street reopens after gas main leak
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A gas main leak on Watertown’s East Main Street closed a section of that road Monday morning. The section of East Main Street between Hancock Street and Route 283 was closed off while crews worked. A section of Grant Street was closed as well.

City of Watertown continues treatment and removal of ash trees
WATERTOWN, NY — The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was discovered in the City of Watertown in October 2019. EAB is an invasive beetle that targets and kills ash trees by feeding on and destroying the vascular tissue of host trees, ultimately limiting the movement and availability of water and nutrients throughout the tree. If not preventatively treated, infested ash trees will become brittle and hazardous as they decline and die within a few years after initial infestation.
Tug Hill Commission meeting set for June 17
CARTHAGE – The Tug Hill Commission will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. Monday, June 17 at the Town of Denmark, 3707 Roberts Road, Carthage.
