    Petersburg Police arrest 31-year-old for possession of concealed weapon

    PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — The Petersburg Bureau of Police has arrested a 31-year-old man for possession of a concealed weapon.

    At around 3:34 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, authorities saw a suspicious car parked on the 1600 block of Defense Road near Cooper Memorial Baseball Field. According to police, authorities made contact the with the person in the car and found that he was in possession of a concealed weapon.

    Police identified the person as 31-year-old Brandon Eschner. He was later taken into custody and charged with possession of a concealed weapon.

    As a part of Operation Safe Streets, the Petersburg Bureau of Police said they are dedicated to the removal of illegal guns, as well as apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants, in an effort to maintaining safety in the community.
