PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) has announced that it will temporarily expand bus service to Prince George County to assist some residents of the Carriage House apartments who have been displaced by ongoing development at the property.

PAT will be expanding service on South Crater Road to the Days Inn in Prince George County, where around 50 seniors and people with disabilities were relocated due to elevator repairs at the Carriage House apartments earlier this month.

Busses will leave the Days Inn for Petersburg’s downtown Transit Center at 100 West Washington Street at 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., with a return trip scheduled for 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday until the residents are able to return to their homes.

The developments at the the Carriage House apartments are set to last at least 30 days, according to PAT.
