US-2&41 repairs could take weeks
DELTA COUNTY, MI— Repairs on a portion of a Delta County highway will take at least two to three weeks. US-2&41 west of Escanaba at Portage Creek was damaged when heavy rains raised the level of the creek. The roadway was closed to traffic last Friday after high water created holes in the pavement.

Kids in Escanaba can earn treats for biking safely
ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - Young bikers in Escanaba can get a free treat from McDonalds this summer if they follow a few safety rules. Officers at the Escanaba Public Safety Department said they hope to catch kids biking safety. The “Caught Being Safe” program is a statewide initiative by the Field Neurosciences Institute in Saginaw. The Institute partners with McDonalds to reward kids for using safe behavior. Youth can earn a McDonalds coupon for an ice-cream cone or apple slices.
