Moving of mine equipment may cause delays on some U.P. roads, MDOT says
ISHPEMING, MI – Mining equipment will soon be on the move in the Upper Peninsula. The Michigan Department of Transportation is alerting motorists in Delta County and Marquette County that large mine dump truck components will be transported from Escanaba to the Tilden Mine in Tilden Township, temporarily blocking traffic on the evenings of May 13 and May 14.

US-2&41 repairs could take weeks
DELTA COUNTY, MI— Repairs on a portion of a Delta County highway will take at least two to three weeks. US-2&41 west of Escanaba at Portage Creek was damaged when heavy rains raised the level of the creek. The roadway was closed to traffic last Friday after high water created holes in the pavement.
