Cast for ‘Footloose’ announced at Pequot Lakes Community Theater

PEQUOT LAKES — The cast for Pequot Lakes Community Theatre roles in “Footloose!” has been announced.

The production will be staged in the Pequot Lakes High School Theater. Performances are June 21 and 28 at 7 p.m. and June 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 2 p.m.

With dynamic new songs and the powerhouse hits from its bestselling, Oscar-nominated score, “Footloose!” celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the wisdom of listening to one another, and the power of forgiveness.

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth.
