City of Pensacola reports more phone line outages in two departments

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The city of Pensacola is reporting more outages affecting two departments, according to a press release. This comes after a network security issue affected several city phone lines.

According to a press release from the city, Pensacola Energy and Pensacola International Airport phone lines are experiencing outages and are unable to receive incoming calls. The release notes that this includes the Gas Leak Reporting Line.

Officials say that individuals who need to report a gas leak emergency should contact Pensacola Energy’s Customer Service at 850-435-1800 or call 911.

“The public’s patience is appreciated as the city works with the phone vendor to resolve this issue as quickly as possible,” the release notes.
