Lee Men Finish Second In Gulf South Golf Tournament
Lee University placed second in the 54-hole 2024 Gulf South Conference Men’s Golf Championship that was held at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Course. The University of West Florida (869) led from start to finish in claiming the title. The Flames (882) had to battle past the charging Union University team (884) to claim second place in the event. The Argonauts and Flames will move onto regional play in Gainesville, Ga. on May 9-11. Lee had its best round on Monday (287), slipped to (298) on Tuesday and had a 297 finish. Montevallo and Shorter joined West Florida, the Flames and Union in rounding out the top five in the 10-team field.
