Volunteer Efforts Boost Diaper Bank Resources in Western Pennsylvania
Treasurer Stacy Garrity and the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) volunteers visited the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank to sort and package diapers. The visit coincided with a NAST service project during the Treasury Management Training Symposium in Pittsburgh, raising over $15,000. This funding will allow the diaper bank to buy approximately 70,000 diapers for needy families in various counties including Allegheny and Washington.
