PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia region likely had its worst air quality period Wednesday into early Thursday morning, after smoke from the Canadian wildfires sank over our region overnight. At times on Wednesday, the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia had the worst air quality index ratings in the world.Thursday's Air Quality Index (AQI) for PM2.5 pollution started out in the 400s, which is well into the "hazardous" range, according to AirNow.gov, a site run by the federal Environmental Protection Agency. Phillies, Drew Hutchison Agree To Minor League Deal
The Phillies have signed veteran righty Drew Hutchison to a minor league pact, tweets Matt Gelb of the Athletic. He’ll report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Hutchison had spent the 2023 season in the minors with the Blue Jays after signing a non-roster deal over the winter. He triggered an opt-out clause earlier this month and was granted his release. It’s not too surprising the Jays didn’t call him up, as the 32-year-old had struggled through nine starts with Triple-A Buffalo. Hutchison allowed a 5.66 ERA in 35 innings while walking nearly as many batters (17.9%) as he struck out (19.1%).

I am writing to inform you of impending changes to the timing of Beigene’s heavy load trucks moving through Pennington Borough. Through the end of this week, Beigene will be moving the heavy loads through Pennington on North Main Street and West Delaware Avenue after 1pm. In order to minimize disruption to North Main Street and the business district, beginning on MONDAY, JUNE 12 we are anticipating the heavy load trucks will move through town between 9am and 10am. If Beigene can consistently meet this time condition, then we will require that they do so daily for the rest of the summer. If they cannot, then we will require the 1pm movement through town.
