PASCO, Wash. -- The grand opening for Fire Station 85 in Pasco is just around the corner.

The community event to celebrate the grand opening will be Saturday, May 18 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the new station, located at 3624 Road 100 in Pasco.

Fire officials said the open house will showcase the state-of-the-art facility and attendees can meet the firefighters and learn more about the station.

The fire station has been operating since February 14, 2024 and Pasco fire officials said it's made a significant improvement to the city's response times.

The station has a medic unit, a structural engine and is staffed with four personnel.

"The Open House event for Station 85 signifies our City's dedication to fostering strong ties between our firefighters and the community they serve," stated Pasco Fire Chief Kevin Crowley. "We encourage all residents to join us on May 18th for a day filled with camaraderie, education, and celebration."
