People really love Trader Joe's, and when you don't have one near you, it's easy to get excited when you hear that one is moving into your town.

One town in Maryland just got the news that they'd be getting a Trader Joe's, and people were understandably overjoyed about it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an elaborate prank, but the people behind the prank may have been the funniest and most shocking twist to the whole story.

    This is a Good Prank

The residents of Pasadena, Maryland recently saw a sign for a new Trader Joe's that was set to open in Spring 2025. The sign was posted outside of an abandoned grocery store and it included a QR Code for you to follow for more information.

Unfortunately, when you follow the code, it leads you to a YouTube video of Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna' Give You Up,' which is a prank that just doesn't seem to get old or die.

Instead of learning about a new Trader Joe's, the residents in this small town were getting Rick Rolled. But who would pull such a prank?

The culprits were members of the local high school's Senior Class.

This is An Epic Senior Prank

According to a TikTok video made by content creator @j0rdycray, this was all an elaborate prank pulled off by the Senior Class. Senior pranks are a time-honored tradition, but this one may be one of the best!

Hey, it beats the time we put a goat on the roof of the school.

Jordy says the pranksters had this banner made and they stuck it in the abandoned parking lot, and that was it. Simple, but effective!

"Nice, clean prank. Good job kids," Jordy said. We agree! We've definitely heard of far worse senior pranks.

    People thought this was hilarious.

"Best one I've seen!" someone commented on Jordy's video. One of the best parts is that it was so simple and easy.

"This is so wholesome," someone else said. It really is a well-done prank. No one was hurt and it was so perfectly executed.

"This is epic," another person chimed in and someone else gave it a "1010." We have to agree with both of them! We're only mad that we didn't think of something like this!

Senior classes, take note! There's still time to execute a funny prank like this, and we expect to see a lot more of these on social media.
