TRUCK HITS RETAINING WALL IN RURAL VALLEY
A Dayton man was not injured in a crash last Saturday that happened in Rural Valley in nearby Armstrong County. State police say 27-year-old Eric Eckman of Dayton was driving his pickup truck East on West Main Street on December 2nd when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the road cleanly. The vehicle collided with a retaining wall owned by the Rural Valley Borough between West School Street and Kime road. The truck came to final rest partly on Rural Valley Borough property and partly on the road. Eckman allegedly fled the scene after the crash.
