'Might as well close': Busy Cincinnati road to close for months leaving businesses worried
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A heads up for drivers: a portion of Riverside Drive will be closed for about four months starting on Monday. The city will replace a water main beneath the road after two major breaks in recent years. But the road closures have left local businesses fed up with the constant repairs to the road.

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati city leaders gathered Friday on the steps of City Hall to honor the observance of Juneteenth. It's been 159 years since nearly 2,000 Union soldiers marched into Galveston Bay, Texas, carrying the message that all enslaved people were free. The arrival on June 19, 1865, came two years after Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation and months after the end of the American Civil War.
Cincinnati public company lands $438M military contract
CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) - The U.S. Air Force has awarded GE Aerospace a $438 million contract for work on engines used in fighter jets. The Department of Defense May 31 announced it had awarded the four-year contract to the Cincinnati-based engine maker, the world’s largest. GE Aerospace will perform workload augmentation and offload support of F110 turbofan engine modules supplies for the Lockheed Martin F-15EX and the Boeing F-16 Fighting Falcon.
