The franchise lawyer turned franchise owner said his work as a lawyer is about solving problems. “My days are filled with problems, so I needed a break from it.”
Attending a franchise convention, he came upon Chocolate Moonshine Co., a franchise out of Pennsylvania that has concocted heavenly chocolate treats.
“Being here, it’s as though I’m surrounded by happiness,” he said.
Ameya’s business partner is his mom, Sonali, who works with him at the mall kiosk.
“It’s a family venture, with my dad helping out, as well,” he said.
Ameya’s father, opened the first family franchise in the 1990s when they purchased a Dunkin’ Donuts.
It’s all about chocolate now for Ameya.
Open for just over a few months, right outside of Macy’s, Fogo de Chão, and Shake Shack, Chocolate Moonshine Co. is a chocolate lovers' delight. The menu consists of 30 different flavors of gourmet fudge, 20 flavors of truffle bars, luxury sipping chocolates and more!
His first location was in Macy's at the Paramus Park Mall. With great success there, he decided to venture to the Plaza when a prime location opened up. A majority of the products are shipped in from the factory located in Grove City, PA, but the Luxury Sipping Chocolates and whipped cream are made fresh almost every morning right on site.
