    Free family fun in store in Panama City this weekend

    PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Central Panhandle Fairground will transform into a children’s paradise on Saturday, May 4th for the 27th annual “Kidfest”, put on by Early Education and Care Inc.

    Gates open at 10 a.m. and will stay open until 2 p.m., however, the fun at this free event will last until 3 p.m.

    There are over 100 different activities for kids of all ages to enjoy including a video game vault, plenty of arts and crafts, books to read and take home free of charge, and much more.

    Event organizers say “Kidfest” continuously returns to Panama City due to its growing popularity and the way it brings members of the community together.

    “It’s time to bring some laughter, some joy, some love back into our community and showing that agencies are working together to provide those resources,” Head Start Director Janice Flowers said. “All of our families, we need to support each other and that’s what we’re all about in this community.”

    Agencies like the Early Learning Coalition, Pancare, and Head Start will all be present at “Kidfest” on Saturday.

    All the kids can satisfy their sweet tooths as well, ice cream and snow cones will be given out free to enjoy.
