    Local man arrested for outstanding warrants in Bay County

    BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Friday, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Youngstown man wanted on multiple warrants.

    On May 15, the BCSO Special Investigations division said they observed 26-year-old, Jesse-James Callahan walking down Laurie Avenue in Panama City Beach.

    Investigators said they recognized Callahan and knew he was a person of interest in a variety of crimes in the Bayou George area including a methamphetamine trade.

    According to a news release, when investigators attempted to take him into custody, Callahan fled on foot and threw a bag that he was carrying. After a short pursuit, he was apprehended and taken into custody.

    Investigators said they recovered the bag and found methamphetamine and multiple debit and credit cards.

    Callahan had outstanding warrants for Aggravated stalking, Intimidating a witness, and violating the terms of his conditional release, authorities wrote.

    Callahan was charged with the above-mentioned warrants, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, resisting an officer without violence, and unlawful possession of personal identification of another. Three additional misdemeanor warrants were added for failing to appear on charges of giving a false name to Law Enforcement, domestic stalking, and following/harassing another.

    He is being held at the Bay County Jail.
