    Georgia resident dies after losing control of motorcycle in Panama City Beach

    PANAMA CITY BEACH — One motorcyclist is dead after losing control while traveling along the Beach.

    According to a press release from the Panama City Beach Police Department, the incident occurred about 8 p.m. May 1 in the the 10300 block of Front Beach Road.

    The driver was 35-year-old Phillip Greason of Gainesville, Georgia, who lost control of his motorcycle and crashed while traveling east on the road.

    Greason was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

    The crash occurred during the first day of the 2024 Thunder Beach Spring Rally. The motorcycle rally, slated for May 1-5, is known to attract thousands of tourists to the Panama City Beach area.

    The Beach Police's Traffic Homicide Team is investigating the crash, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
