Kasey Koski Picked as the First Commissioned Artist with the Keweenaw National Historic Park
The Keweenaw National Historic Park announces the artist selected for the 2024 commissioned artist program. Recently the National Historic Park, the park’s Advisory Commission, and the Isle Royale and Keweenaw Parks Association announced Kasey Koski as the selected commissioned artist. Koski will work with the National Historic Park to draw attention to the Quincy Mine dry house.

NMU hosts career day for UP high school students
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Northern Michigan University is again giving high school students exposure to endless possibilities for future career opportunities. NMU partnered with Michigan Works Wednesday to host a career day at the Northern Center for over 600 U.P. high school sophomores and juniors from Alger, Baraga, Dickinson, Gogebic and Marquette counties. NMU staff said there were over 75 employees in every job field including the trades and the armed forces. Marquette Senior High School Sophomore Bodi Bennett said he is excited to see what career path will interest him.
