OZARK, Mo. – The City of Ozark’s Board of Aldermen is set to vote on renderings for a new building on the historic downtown square.

Torgerson Design Partners originally presented renderings last month at a board meeting, but after public outcry at the scale and modernity of the design, it was voted down.

Now, the company has reimagined its design for the building, and the aldermen will vote on it on May 6 at 7 p.m. at the Ozark City Hall.

The new design includes more brick, accents, and window arches that match the other storefronts along the square.

“We met again and he introduced a revised design with a more historic appearance,” said Ozark Alderman David Snider.

Ozark Mayor Don Currence says he encourages the community to voice their thoughts on the new design ahead of the board meeting.
