Sam Hartman Signed by Washington Commanders as Undrafted Free Agent
Sam Hartman will begin his professional career in Washington D.C. as a member of the Commanders, who signed the sixth-year senior as an undrafted free agent. A graduate transfer from Wake Forest, Hartman's lone season in South Bend produced 24 touchdowns against eight interceptions, totaling 2,689 yards at a 63.5 percent clip. In Winston-Salem prior (2018-2022), Hartman fired an ACC-record 134 touchdown passes for the Demon Deacons to rank among the top 20 in FBS history. He set Wake Forest program records in career completions, attempts, total touchdowns and total yards.
