Oxford, AL – Leaders representing faith, business, and government sectors will unite with citizens of Oxford and communities across the nation to observe the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2nd. The ceremony is slated to commence at noon in front of Oxford City Hall, situated at 145 Hamric Drive East.

The National Day of Prayer holds deep historical significance, dating back to its inception in 1952 through a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress and subsequent signing into law by President Harry S. Truman.
