HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to perform two concrete replacement projects on the Audubon Parkway in Owensboro next week, resulting in lane restrictions and lane closures.

Officials say beginning Monday, crews will be replacing a concrete slab on the Worthington Road overpass. Work is scheduled to last through May 22 and will result in the westbound Audubon Parkway being restricted to one lane. Workers are expected to be on site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The KYTC says on Wednesday work will move to the eastbound lanes and the exit ramp from the Audubon Parkway east bound to US 60 westbound. That ramp will be closed for two days for the application of new concrete.

Officials say motorists should be alert for one lane traffic controlled by flaggers.  Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

The KYTC says all planned projects are subject to change depending on the weather.
