Questions mount as search for missing Great Bend mother, baby continues
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - We continue to ask questions as Great Bend police continue to search for a missing mother and her baby. The two were reported missing on Sunday, May 5. This week, FactFinder investigator Branden Stitt contacted Great Bend police for an update on the case. Detectives say they’ve been in contact with family and friends of 32-year-old Crystal DeMoss as the investigation into where the mother and her baby boy could be, intensifies. Police ask for the public’s help.
Great Bend citizen has issue with requirement to mow his grass
Brent Cox went before the Great Bend City Council Monday night to address a concern with a city ordinance. Cox rents a house on 19th Street, and received a door-hanging pamphlet from the City of Great Bend on March 1 informing him of an overgrown vegetation violation. A city ordinance is in place stating any grass or weeds taller than nine inches is in violation.

Details remain murky about missing Great Bend woman, infant son
Few details have emerged about a missing woman and her infant son following the Great Bend Police Department's attempt to locate 32-year-old Crystal DeMoss Monday. The post on Facebook has elicited more than 1,700 shares. A friend of DeMoss, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it's not unlikely for DeMoss to take a break from social media.

Great Bend expects to spray for mosquitos by Memorial Day weekend
For an insect that is typically no longer than 6 millimeters, mosquitos garner a lot of attention during the spring and summer. Last month Great Bend city officials mentioned crews were getting the mosquito foggers calibrated for the upcoming season.
