Teen identified in fatal crash near Osseo

OSSEO — An 18-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle crash in the town of Sumner on Tuesday, according to the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office.

Jadyne M. Kaufman has been identified as the deceased driver. She was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt, the press release states. Speed is considered a factor in the crash.

The crash occurred at about 11:10 p.m. on Highway B, near Myhre Road. The dispatch center received a notification of a crash alert from a cell phone, which they tracked to the area of Highway B.

Assisting the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office at the scene were the Osseo Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Osseo Fire Department & First Responders, and Mayo Ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation.
