Summer Concert Series and Community Band Outdoor Picnic
The Heartland Concert Band of Joplin will perform 3 one hour concerts Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm in Schifferdecker Park on Thursday June 6th, 13th, and 20th. The concerts are no cost to the public. Patriotic tunes, marches, John Williams movie titles, Broadway showtunes and much more will be performed. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music.

Big story #3 – Just before noon Thursday, acting on information received Carthage police responded to private property, 600 block of North Main, north of Claxton Ave. There they discovered the body of a deceased person inside a camper trailer. North Main was closed and the area was wrapped in yellow crime scene tape as an investigation was developing.
