A woman is reclaiming her power after discovering her boyfriend was cheating on her right in the middle of his proposal and despite the heartbreak, managed to get the best revenge. Tiffany Lyn explained how her boyfriend surprised her with a trip to Orlando, Florida, to go to the amusement parks - and she was delighted with this spontaneous gesture.

When there, she says her boyfriend signed up to be a contestant in one of their competitions and asked her to hold his phone to record his performance for him so he could watch it back afterward. Speaking on a TikTok video, which now has more than 4,500 comments, she said: "He hands me over his cell phone and says, 'Babe, please film this. I want you to see what is going to happen."

Admitting it was her "dream come true", she recorded her boyfriend competing in the three or four events before becoming distracted by the incoming messages on his phone. She added: "I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, this is so cute. How much fun'. Ultimately, he won. I'm filming from his cell phone that he told me to hold. So here I am with his little cell phone filming. All excited, all proud of my man.

"He starts to receive text messages that are popping up on the screen. The text messages turned out to be from his mistress that he has been messing with the whole time we have been together." Through her replies, Tiffany assumes his married mistress is angry at him for breaking off their relationship because he was planning to propose.

"At this point, my heart absolutely drops and I want to vomit. I'm sitting here in a crowd with hundreds of people maybe even thousands of people trying to keep my hands steady and filming what's happening as he's proposing and announcing it to this whole stadium full of people but I really know what's happening because I'm seeing these texts flash across the screen."

His proposal is then flashed across the big screen while strangers congratulate her. She then meets him outside the stadium where he hugs her and again proposes to her. Tiffany said: "There's so many people watching.

"I quickly grab him and drag him into the nearest restaurant in this theme park that I could find and I bring him over to the bar area. I sit him down and I tell him everything that I know. I didn't try to deny it, he knew that he was caught. For the next 30 minutes, he proceeded to just tell me everything that he thought I wanted to hear and I was just numb.

"The only words that I could manage to muster up at this point were, 'Baby, this two-carat diamond ring, it's just not going to be enough'." In a later update, Tiffany said while she didn't accept his marriage proposal there and then, she stayed with him for two to three more months until breaking it off.

As for the ring, Tiffany explained that she ended up giving it back. She told followers: "I know you might think I'm crazy, or stupid, but I didn't need that bad juju. I didn't need him. I didn't want anything from him. I gave that ring back because that **** was tainted".

And while the experience could have left her broken, Tiffany has been able to get the best revenge on her cheating ex - by staying true to herself and finding happiness. She added: "Silence is deadly. Silence gives you your power back so that you're not the one looking like a damn fool."

Noting that getting some sort of vindication might have made her feel better in the short term, it's not conducive to a happy life. Tiffany revealed karma had its own ideas and she discovered that although her ex ended up getting married after her, it only lasted a year and he's now single. Meanwhile, she is in a "very loving relationship".

People watching the video were thrilled with the outcome and rushed to heap praise on Tiffany. One person exclaimed: "The best revenge is no reaction. People love a reaction so they can call you the crazy one. Overreacting gives them the power!"

Tiffany added: "It took about two years and about $10,000 of therapy just to finally be right again with myself." Commenting on her post, one user said: "I truly believe most public proposals are secretly manipulative strategies to get the other person to agree." Another user added: "The way I would’ve started reading the texts out loud while he was proposing." A third user said: "The entire universe had your back that day and saved you from a life of misery."
