CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Good Tuesday Evening Heartland. Well, we made it through the hottest day of the week. A cold front will move our way and this front will be the focus for showers and storms to develop. For this evening most of the Heartland will stay warm and dry the winds will relax a bit but it will still be breezy. Temperatures will fall into the 70s. Scattered storms will develop to our west later this evening and move across the area during the overnight hours., Right now it appears these storms will be weakening as they move in but a few gusty winds and small hail will be possible. Lows by morning will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
