Earth celebrated in Boonville
BOONVILLE — The Boonville Environmental Conservation Council (BECC) hosted a fruitful Earth Day cleanup in the village on Saturday, April 20. Participants gathered at the small village park at 11 a.m., dividing into three groups. One tackled Main Street, another navigated Schuyler Street, and the third ventured up Post Street into the Municipal parking lot. The BECC extends their gratitude to all who joined in, and acknowledges the Boonville Lions Club for their generous donation toward the T-shirts.
Old Forge Library hosts 4 Spring Story Times on Fridays
OLD FORGE — Four Spring Story Time sessions will be held from 10:15-11 a.m. Fridays from April 26 through May 17 at the Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd. Story Time is for children ages 3-6 years old. Led by Old Forge Library staff, the 45 minutes will include stories and creative play, games, crafts, songs and other gentle activities to stimulate creative thinking. Toddler-aged children may come to Story Time, but an adult must stay with 1- and 2-year-old children.
AdironDuck Race & Pancake Breakfast happening this weekend
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - The Oswegatchie Educational Center at 9340 Long Pond Road in the town of Croghan will hold the 29th Annual AdironDUCK Race & Pancake Breakfast. Adirondack holds off comeback attempt by Westmoreland baseball
Adirondack held off a late rally by host Westmoreland for an 8-5 win on Monday in a Center State Conference crossover baseball game. Adirondack scored three in the third to take a 3-1 lead and led 5-2 after four. The Wildcats tacked on three in the sixth then held off the Bulldogs, who scored three in the seventh.
