    OHP identifies two killed in I-44 crash

    OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released more details regarding a fatal crash on I-44 Tuesday afternoon .

    According to OHP, the accident happened around 3 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-44 near Western Avenue.

    Officials say the vehicle, a 2022 Vander Venice, departed the roadway to the left and hit a concrete barrier wall. The car then struck a crash attenuator before coming to a stop facing westbound in the eastbound lanes.

    The driver, identified as 24-year-old Maximillian Pfeifer, and a passenger, 25-year-old Brice Kukuzke, both died from their injuries.

    OHP says the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
