    Replacement benefits available for SNAP recipients impacted by storms

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — SNAP recipients in counties impacted by the April 27 and 28 storms may request replacement benefits up to the full monthly amount received for April.

    While SNAP customers usually only have 10 calendar days to request a replacement of benefits, Oklahoma Department of Human Services received federal approval to allow affected households to report food loss by May 28.

    The 12 eligible counties for replacement benefits are:

    • Carter County
    • Cotton County
    • Garfield County
    • Hughes County
    • Kay County
    • Lincoln County
    • Love County
    • Murray County
    • Okfuskee County
    • Oklahoma County
    • Payne County
    • Pontotoc County

    To apply for replacement SNAP benefits, submit a Request for Destroyed Food Replacement form through OKDHS.

    Those not currently receiving SNAP benefits may apply at OKDHSLive.org .

    LIST: Tornado recovery assistance

    For lost benefit cards, recipients can request a replacement online at www.connectebt.com , by phone at 1-888-328-6551, or in person at a local county office or OKDHS Mobile Office.

    OKDHS is deploying their Mobile Offices to affected counties to serve community residents. One of the two Mobile Offices is currently stationed at the Carter County Oklahoma Human Services office in Ardmore, which is currently without power due to the storms.
