BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County residents can drop off unwanted household items for free in Oildale.

The Roberts Lane Transfer Station, located at 1900 Roberts Lane, is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

The debate over ID: Is it extra voter security or voter disenfranchisement?

The station accepts: TVs, e-waste, furniture mattresses, home appliances, water heaters and kids’ toys.

However, no hazardous waste, green waste, construction waste, remodeling waste and business waste will be accepted at this location.
