US 30 overpasses closed in Van Wert County
LIMA — Officials with the Ohio Department of Transportation reported Thursday that two overpasses spanning U.S. 30 in Van Wert County have been closed after being struck. The closures affect Stripe Road and Converse Roselm Road. The overpasses will remain closed until further notice, officials said.

Taylor Post threw a five-inning no-hitter for Lincolnview in a 10-0 softball victory for the Lancers on Saturday. Sydney Fackler was 3 for 3. Quin Schroeder went 3 for 4 and drove in five runs for the Vikings. Tommy Offenbacher, Ethan Zeisloft and Trent Siefker all had two hits. Schroeder, Zeisloft, Nick Schroeder and Offenbacher had doubles and Zeisloft had a triple for the Vikings (19-2).
Blue Jays oust Pirates in sectional baseball
DELPHOS — The St. John’s baseball crew used a 4-run third inning to propel the Blue Jays by Continental 8-3 in Division IV sectional play on a wet Tuesday at Stadium Park. After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the third frame, the Jays (13-12) rallied in the home half against Pirate (1-15) starter Sam Newsome. Tyler Lindeman led off with a walk and advanced on consecutive wild pitches. Tyce McClain walked and stole second. Braylen Metzger then plated Lindeman on his sacrifice fly to left to tie the game at 1.

1st Annual Putnam County Blessing of the Bikes
OTTAWA – On the morning of May 11, 2024, Do-Right Motorcycle Club of Delphos, American Patriot Vanguard MC Ohio of Belmore, and Ottawa’s Well Grounded Cafe came together to host the first Annual Putnam County Blessing of the Bikes at the parking lot west of the Putnam Co. Fairgrounds. The event featured dozens of motorcyclists from multiple clubs who came out for fellowship and God’s blessing for safety as a they rode that year.
