Summer camp for underserved kids looking for counselors

( KRON ) — For many kids, summer is all about fun in the sun with friends. Going to summer camp is a huge part of that. Yet, for so many others, that opportunity is out of reach. CAMP MADE4Me is looking to change that.

It wants to give the most underfunded communities the magic of camp. But to do so, it needs some help.

This year CAMP MADE4ME is looking for counselors ages 18+, and any donors looking to support; snack companies, outdoor companies, toilette companies, etc.

The camper slots are full. It is a fully paid overnight camp, everyone attends for free.

It is for kids from Marin City and East Oakland.

CAMP MADE4ME is for 6th-9th graders from the Bay Area's most underfunded communities, providing the magic of camp. The 2024 camp is being hosted at Camp Loma Mar in the heart of Pescadero Valley from June 29 through July 6.
