City of Oak Grove to host first farmers market with food trucks and vendors
OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The City of Oak Grove’s farmers market will make its debut on Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. What began as a small idea on the City of Oak Grove’s Facebook page rapidly gained traction when Mayor Jackie Oliver reached out to a local food truck owner. Lesa Dussault, co-owner of Chef Jamie’s food truck, was enlisted by the mayor to spearhead the initiative.
Manna Cafe to hold monthly mobile pantry this weekend, observes new procedures
CLARKSVILLE, TN – Manna Cafe will hold its monthly Mobile Pantry this Saturday, May 18, at Spring Creek Baptist Church located at 2760 Trenton Road. In order to effectively meet the growing needs of the community, Manna Cafe will be observing new procedures at mobile pantries. You must be present to receive a food box. (You will not be able to pick up for friends and/or family members.) You must provide a photo ID. Only one box per address. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and food distribution begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until the food runs out.
