Delays expected on I-81 in Luzerne County
Drivers in Luzerne County can expect to see delays on Interstate 81 north into next week. PennDOT announced that bridge inspection work on I-81 Northbound between the Dorrance Exit (155) and the Wilkes-Barre exit (168) is scheduled to continue until Tuesday. The work that started this morning will continue from 9 a.m to 3 p.m daily.
Preview of new season at the F.M. Kirby Center
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The stage at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre has gone dark for the summer, but it's all to give this historic building an upgrade. "We have a scheduled capital project that involves replacing all of our rooftop units, putting in an HVAC system in the building, and simultaneously, we will be finishing construction downstairs, recovering from the flood that we had in 2023," said Joell Yarmel, F.M.
