Shooting under investigation in Luzerne County
A shooting yesterday in Hazle Township is under investigation. PA State Police at Hazleton say it happened during a custody exchange involving a 4 year old at the Turkey Hill Gas station at Station Circle in that part of Luzerne County. According to investigators, a couple became involved in a physical domestic dispute and during the struggle a hand gun went off injuring a man from Effort. He was found a short time later in the area of East Cranberry Avenue and 5th Street in West Hazleton and taken for treatment of a non life threatening injury to his leg. So far no charges have been filed and State Police Troop N are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

Teen found guilty of deadly 2022 Scranton stabbing, killing 18-year-old
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — 17-year-old Amir Williams was found guilty of first-degree murder and related charges for the stabbing death of an 18-year-old in 2022. Williams was prosecuted as an adult after he was accused of stabbing Tyler McKenna, 18, multiple times during a fight on June 22, 2022, on West Olive Street near the Scranton High School, according to officials.
