The Notre Dame football coaching staff looks to complete the program’s 2025 class by evaluating several targets and offer candidates at their high schools this spring. Many more 2026 recruits have had Fighting Irish coaches stop by their schools.

During the spring evaluation period, the Irish staff can have “contact” with high school juniors. That means they can have full-on conversations rather than just a “bump” as previously allowed. But as far as 2026 prospects go, the “bump” rule remains.

The NCAA does not permit head coaches from visiting prospects during the spring period.

Here is where the Fighting Irish staff is expected to be on Tuesday, according to Blue & Gold sources:

    — Running backs coach Deland McCullough will be at Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit to see longtime Notre Dame 2025 class running back commit Justin Thurman . The No. 26 ranked running back in 2025 has been pledged to the Irish since Aug. 1.

    — Wide receivers coach Mike Brown’s primary spot is in Jacksonville, Fla., at The Bolles School. There, he will see Naeem Burroughs , the No. 10 ranked wide receiver in the 2026 cycle. The 5-11, 160-pound Burroughs was one of the first prospects Brown offered after he joined the Irish in December.

Blue & Gold recently reported on the four-star’s recruitment here .

    — Offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Mike Denbrock will also visit the Sunshine State to see a pair of prospects.

One stop will be to Clearwater (Fla.) Catholic to see 2026 four-star offensive tackle Dujuan Davis , who has offers from Ole Miss and USF. Denbrock’s other stop will be to Tarpon Springs (Fla.) High to gather information on 2027 quarterback Joaquin Kavouklis .

    — Offensive line coach Joe Rudolph is making arguably the most important visit of any Notre Dame assistant on Tuesday. He’ll be at North Bethesda (Md.) Georgetown Prep to see five-star Immanuel Iheanacho , the No. 5 overall player and No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2026 cycle.

Rudolph will also check in with Leesburg (Va.) Loudoun County four-star offensive lineman Carter Scruggs . The 2026 class’s No. 9 interior offensive lineman visited Notre Dame on March 23.

Iheanacho and Scruggs have not yet reported Notre Dame offers.

    — Defensive coordinator Al Golden has three check-ins on his docket, all to 2026 recruits with Irish offers.

Golden’s busiest stop will be in Washington, D.C., at Gonzaga to see four-star EDGE Carter Meadows and four-star linebacker Kedric Golston II . Meadows is the No. 14 EDGE in the class, while Golston is the No. 19 linebacker.

Golden will also see Richmond (Va.) Huguenot High linebacker Markel Dabney . The three-star thumper visited Notre Dame earlier this spring. In On3’s rankings, he’s the No. 43 linebacker in the class.

    — Defensive line coach Al Washington will also be at Gonzaga to see Meadows and Golston. Three more stops could come to 2025 defensive linemen Delano Brown , Aubrey Melvin and Caleb Williams . They have not yet received an Irish offer.

Chesterfield (Va.) Matoaca’s Williams is the only one rated in the group. The three-star is the No. 36 defensive lineman in the 2025 class. He has been committed to South Carolina since April 21.

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel’s Brown and Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park’s Melvin both have multiple power conference scholarship offers. Melvin already visited Notre Dame in the spring.

    — Linebackers coach Max Bullough will be at Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet to see 2026 four-star linebacker Jakore Smith . Notre Dame offered the nation’s No. 22-ranked sophomore linebacker during their Pot of Gold Day recruiting event.

    — Defensive backs coach Mike Mickens should be in North Carolina to see three 2026 prospects, including one with a Notre Dame offer. The Irish offered Charlotte Independence safety Nick Reddish on Pot of Gold Day. They also hosted him on campus for the Blue-Gold Game on April 20. Now, Mickens will see Reddish in his neck of the woods.

Then, Mickens will see Huntersville (N.C.) William Amos Hough elite cornerback Samari Matthews and Charlotte Christian budding defensive back Lindell “LJ” Porter at their respective high schools. While they do not yet hold a Notre Dame offer, they could be in contention for one.

    — Quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli will scout 2026 and 2027 class prospects in Los Angeles. Blue & Gold will track Guidugli’s exact whereabouts as they emerge throughout the day on Tuesday.

    — Special teams coordinator Marty Biagi continues to area recruit in Hawai’i.
