Rest in...poop? Michigan police are on the hunt for a serial pooper who's apparently been hitting up the local cemetery to leave his...well, presents on the headstones of various graves. Apparently it's been happening at the Northview Cemetery in Dearborn, Michigan since February, when the first report came in of somebody dropping a deuce on a gravesite. And since then, it's happened a total of seven times, each to a different headstone. Walled Lake garage contractor sentenced for scamming homeowners
A Walled Lake garage contractor, Artemio Sessions, was sentenced to 40-240 months in prison for repeatedly scamming homeowners out of tens of thousands of dollars. Sessions, 56, was convicted of felony charges for the scheme he ran through his business, Garages R Us. Sixth Circuit Court Judge Cheryl Matthews delivered the sentence on Monday, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a Wednesday news release.
Man convicted of kidnapping, raping 13-year-old to be paroled after appeal denied
ANN ARBOR, MI – A man convicted of kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl will be released on parole after a judge denied an emergency appeal. John Robert Lee, 44, is scheduled to be leave the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility in Jackson sometime in early May after the Michigan Parole Board granted him freedom for a second time, according to Kyle Kaminski, spokesperson for the Michigan Department of Corrections.
First woman police chief at University of Michigan says it’s all about service
ANN ARBOR, MI – For University of Michigan’s newest head of police, everything comes back to service. Crystal James was sworn in April 10 as the chief for the University of Michigan Department of Public Safety and Security, making her the first woman chief for any of the school’s campuses. She is also the first Black person to have the job for the Ann Arbor campus, according to a release from the school.
