Route 17 in Rutherford closes with crash after NY Giants game
A crash with injuries shut down Route 17 in Rutherford in both directions at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the Department of Transportation, there was a crash near Highland Cross that led to all lanes being closed. St. Joseph High School Football Player Fatally Stabbed in NYC
Rocco Rodden, a 17-year-old high school football player from Warren, was tragically stabbed to death early Thanksgiving morning in lower Manhattan, New York City. The incident occurred at 96 Lafayette Street around 1:50 a.m., Thursday. Rodden, a junior offensive lineman at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, was one of two stabbing victims found by the police.

Hoboken Boys Soccer Players Honored with HCIAL All-Division Selections
HOBOKEN, NJ -- Two members of the Hoboken High School boys soccer team have been named to the Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic League National Division first team. Joseph Checkley, a junior who played both in the back and in midfield, and Nico Kapulum Muller, a senior goalkeeper, both were named to the first team from the RedWings. Checkley finished with four goals and four assists this season. Muller made 188 saves in 20 games and posted four shutouts. Sophomore Grant Napolitani and senior Miles Hymes of Hoboken both were given honorable mention.
