A 33-year-old man from Englewood was killed in an early morning crash Sunday on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. A preliminary investigation revealed a Dodge minivan was parked on the parkway’s shoulder in the area of milepost 155.7 in Clifton when it was struck by a Dodge pickup heading north, said Jeffrey Lebron, a detective and spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police.

Police say a woman found Friday in a garbage compactor inside a Manhattan building was identified as a 24-year-old woman from Crown Heights.

Two incidents occurred in Cliffside Park, New Jersey this week. In the first incident, a 56-year-old man was arrested and charged with sexual assault and child endangerment following a tip from the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency. He remains in Bergen County Jail on an ICE detainer. The second incident involved a 23-year-old probationer from North Carolina who hit a parked vehicle and fled the scene. He was apprehended by Cliffside Park PD after a brief chase.
