A North Augusta man has been arrested for indecent exposure.

North Augusta Department of Public Safety officers arrested William Burnett, 45, on Monday.

Video evidence shows Burnett exposing himself at a North Augusta gas station Thursday after a near collision, according to a report.

A man told deputies that Burnett nearly struck his vehicle when the man was backing into a spot. The man said he told Burnett to watch where he was going after the near collision, the report continued.

The man said Burnett exposed himself during a verbal altercation that followed, the report said.

A man standing nearby said Burnett appeared drunk, according to the report.

Officers transported Burnett to the Aiken County detention center.

An Aiken magistrate granted Burnett a $5,000 personal recognizance bond and set his next appearance for Sept. 20, according to court records.
