City of Norfolk to host DEI summit

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Norfolk’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will host a summit later this month.

According to the city, the Evolve Summit is aimed at impact leaders actively working to make Norfolk communities better for everyone.

The event will provide those in attendance with the opportunity share and discuss best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion and learn about the resources available from the city and community partners. Additionally, the summit will highlight the city’s DEI efforts over the last five years.

This is just one of several opportunities connect with impact leaders and change makers slated for 2024, according to the city.

The Evolve Summit: Advancing Equity & Togetherness takes place on Wednesday, April 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Attucks Theater, 1010 Church St. in Norfolk.
