NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Reaver Beach Brewing Co . location in Norfolk is closing. The company announced in a Facebook post on March 25 that it would be closing Reaver’s Norfolk Pilot House, located along Colley Avenue at 38th Street, due to “the ever changing craft beer market and unforeseen challenges the Norfolk location has had to face.”

The Norfolk location opened three years ago, in February 2021, in a building that used to house the 38th Street Post Office.

“To thank everyone for their support, we are going to have one last Reaver Norfolk hurrah on Saturday, March 30th. We hope you’ll join us and raise a pint to all the memories we have shared over the years.”

Customers in social media comments expressed that the Colley Ave. location would be missed — for everything from the beer, its staff, the environment, its fundraising events, markets and more.

The Reaver Beach Brewing Co. production facility and taproom in Virginia Beach production facility and taproom will continue to operate as usual. That original location is at 1505 Taylor Farm Road.

Stay tuned to the Reaver Beach Norfolk Facebook page for updates on Saturday’s “last hurrah.”
