Alliance YMCA to offer Cavs summer basketball clinic
ALLIANCE − The Alliance Family YMCA, 205 S. Union Ave., will offer a Cavs Academy Summer Basketball Clinic from 9 a.m. to noon June 28. The registration fee is $70 for members and nonmembers of the YMCA of Central Stark County. The clinic is free for youth entering grades 3-8 who meet TANF eligibility requirements thanks to a grant received from the Governor’s Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives.

Madison Miles and Vincent Giumenti are Mount Union's Clyde A. Lamb Award winners for the 2023-24 academic year. The Clyde A. Lamb Award is presented annually to one male and one female athlete from each of the Ohio Athletic Conference's 20 institutions. Criteria for the award include at least two year's participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum grade point average of 3.00 and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete and their institution.
