Early voting begins Tuesday for SC statewide primary election

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Early voting for South Carolina’s statewide primary election begins Tuesday, May 28.

Voters will be able to cast their ballots in either the Republican or Democratic Primary to choose the party nominees for the general election in November.

On the ballot will be races including those for U.S. House of Representatives, State House of Representatives, State Senate, county council, and sheriff across various counties. Other local offices will also be on the ballot.

Early voting centers will be open from May 28 to June 7 and will be closed on weekends and state holidays.

Early voting will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the centers.

Election Day for the primary election is June 11.

If there are runoffs, early voting in those races will be from Wednesday, June 19 through Friday, June 21.
